Audiobook Community

Hello all! It’s the last week of the fabulous Sync community, which has provided free downloads of great Young Adult audiobooks. We’re here to celebrate the success of Sync by chatting with narrator Katherine Kellgren, the Audie Award-winning voice of Bloody Jack - a favorite of many Audiobook Community members, and a piratically popular download through Sync. Listen & Live Audio has received THREE Odyssey Award Honor medals for their production of titles in Bloody Jack series narrated by Katy Kellgren: Bloody Jack, Curse of the Blue Tattoo, and In the Belly of the Bloodhound.

I’m Mary Burkey, who you may know as Audiobooker from my blog at BooklistOnline. I’d like to welcome Katy, and thank her for taking time to answer the questions I’ll be fielding from teens & adults curious about your career as an audiobook narrator. Ready for questions from our listeners, Katy?

Thanks so much Mary!!! It was so much fun being a part of this chat on Sync!!!
What fun! This was just great!

A very special thank you to Katherine Kellgren, narrator of the spectacular Bloody Jack series (written by L.A. Meyer). You're a real treasure, and we can't wait to hear about Jacky Faber's next adventure in The Wake of the Lorelei Lee!

And, of course, a big thank you to Mary Burkey for hosting this wonderful interview. Visit Mary on AudiobookCommunity or at her fabulous blog, Audiobooker!

We hope you've enjoyed our very first Sync Event! Come back to the Sync Group for more YA audiobook news, recommendations, and goodies!

Happy listening, ye mighty Sync Members!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading thru this interview, and thank you for hosting it. A special thanks to Katherine Kellgren for participating! I've just listened to the first of the series, Bloody Jack, thanks to YA Sync, and am looking forward to more! Thanks again!
Thanks, Ann! Your kind words are much appreciated! It was a lot of fun participating in this Sync chat!
I'm so glad they had Bloody Jack for free here - I'm not sure I would have purchased it, and I would have missed a real gem, lol! I sure do love finding a new series to follow - so satisfying. :) And I loooove that accent! Actually, I'm going to have to go find another book you narrate to listen to the "real" Katherine Kellgren accent, lol, because I'm very sure it isn't Jacky Faber's! Thanks again!
