I know there have been studies on using audiobooks when learning foreign languages, which have found them to be very successful. I will certainly be using them when I am a teacher.

The time I stopped listening to an audiobook

That's a terrible subject for an Audiobook Community website, right?

I'm a big fan of audiobooks, but I started one recently and got about one disc into it, and thought "I need to read this in print." There wasn't anything wrong with the audio, the narrator was well-cast and handled the male/female voices well. But in this particular book, the characters start out as well-drawn stock characters. At least that's what you think. But they change, and grow, or maybe it's just that…
