Oh, that's very cool! Good news. Robin will be happy (she's waiting for hers to arrive).

I'm deep into The Fallen Blade by John Courtenay Grimwood, read by Dan John Miller. Miller's performance so far is decent, but he's not working with stellar text. We'll see how it goes...

I remember listening to (and reading) Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes when it first came out. I was in college, and it was a turning point in my reading life (I'm sure a lot of people say that, though). Another Irish author who I used…

Hi Allison,

I just got my AB demo back from a great weekend event with Pat Fraley and an all-star team of teachers last month.  I'm excited to be regularly involved here, and to meet people in person in New York this May!  Also hoping to attend the audiobook panel on March 18th for the Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville.

Hello Allison :),

Thank you for the comment! :) Yes I agree Jeaniene Frost is an amazing author and just as amazing is Tavia Gilbert! I love her work with the Night Huntress World Series and Tavia told me she has finished with book 5, "This Side of the Grave" due to release Feb 22 :). As a fan of Jeaniene I made myself available for her "online interview" and tried to compile all the questions and answers from fans to her :).

I'm still new to this website and I am curious as to what type of editor you are :)? Do you edit audio books? Well I was just curious, thank you again for the comment I hope you enjoyed the post. Have a great day :)... ps try Jeaniene's books if you haven't ;)

Allison,

I have 3 blogs so far at abbreviatedaudio.com   can I repost them here or do I link to them?

can you "text" me through the process?

This side of the pond, my vote goes to British actor Simon Vance - though he now lives in California, lucky man! His acting, voice quality and range are something special. I guess the spoken word bug found me at age ten when I heard Richard Burton Begin-at-the-Beginning in Under Milk Wood on BBC radio, though I never guessed it would lead to my late-onset career. Oh, the magic!

Allison,
How goes the new posting?
I've been hookeo on Jacky Faber and have feverishly been buying all the subsequent titles from Audible on my own account. I'm a 64 year old love of the Hornblower series and this is like a shot of rejuvinating fluid... not that I need it, mimd you.
Mike
PS Where do I go again to get new titles?

Hi Allison. Our wonderful TSO found the site and passed it on to me. I was looking for resources to help ESL students and I thought if they could listen as they read it may just help. I was pleased with the amount of books that match with ones I have in the library. I am very excited about this resource.
Thanks Allison
